Hubballi Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HDBRTS), has started a survey seeking suggestions from the public to improve the overall service.
The survey is being conducted to get the opinion of the public about the Hubballi Dharwad BRTS service. HDBRTS has requested people to take the survey and cooperate in providing better service.
The survey can be accessed through the Google form linked here. The survey asks some basic questions about the operation of BRTS and it shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes.
The survey focusses on the Fare of the ticket, Smart card, Air conditioning inside the buses, LED display, Speaker announcing the stop details, Behaviour of Drivers and Staff, etc.
The survey also asks a few questions on whether drivers are following signals, Cleanliness at BRTS bus stations, Information about Arrival/Departure at Bus stations, etc.
The survey puts a very important question if the BRTS needs to be extended in Hubballi Dharwad. Please suggest suitable places where it can be extended. For example Airport, KUD, Agricultural University, etc.
Hubballi Dharwad BRTS (also known as HDBRTS) is a bus rapid transit system connecting the twin cities of Hubballi Dharwad. The total cost of the project was around ₹980 Crores.
In 2019, HDBRTS had bagged the Union government’s ‘Best Urban Mass Transit Project‘ Award of excellence. It has also won the Most preferred BRTS award recently.
The trial run of BRTS was started on 2nd October 2018. It was officially inaugurated by the honorable Vice president of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu on 2nd February 2020.
Please try to extend the service upto IIT . Dharwad
1. The crosses before and after bust stops are very dangerous in many places. It also reduces the speed of Chigari buses. There should be underpasses or over bridges in the crosses.
2. The quality of work is poor in many places. Pedestrian paths are very poorly laid and are narrow. They need to be of high standard.
3. Road available for other traffic is narrow and needs to be broadened by may be making BRTS routes narrower.
4. KSRTC and Bendre buses should be stopped.
5. Extension should be done up to Shrinahar cross near KUD in Dharwad.
1) Allow bendre buses also so that the traffic on mix lane gets reduced.
2) Reduce the width of brts within heavy traffic areas.
3) Create more underpasses and foot over bridge for ease of movement
4) ensure signals are working good in all circles to avoid time waste traffic.
