The draft voter list for all assembly constituencies in Dharwad district has been revised and published by the District Collector and District Election Officer, Divya Prabhu yesterday.
Accordingly, the draft list of voters of 72-Hubli-Dharwad East, 73- Hubli Dharwad Central, 74- Hubli Dharwad West assembly constituencies has been published in the main office of HDMC.
Draft list of voters of 69-Navalgund, 70-Kundgol, 71- Dharwad, 75- Kalaghatagi assembly constituencies are available in District Collector’s office, Sub-Divisional Officer’s office, Tahsildar’s office and all Gram Panchayat, Urban Local Bodies of the district.
Alternatively, one may also visit the website of the Chief Electoral Officer www.ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in to check the voter list of individual constituencies.
Voters will have the opportunity to check the voter list and file claims or objections from October 29 to November 28 at designated polling booths in their respective assembly constituencies.
How to add a new name to the Voter’s list? Form 6 – Individuals who will be 18 years old on 1st January 2025, and whose names are not on the electoral roll, may submit their names using Form Number 6.
Individuals who turn 18 years old on the eligibility dates for the year 2025 on April 1, July 1, or October 1 are also eligible to fill Form 6 for inclusion in the Voters list.
Applications will be reviewed for eligibility during each quarter and will be added to the Voter’s list. Individuals must submit a recent passport-sized photo, proof of address, and proof of age.
How to delete a name from the Voter’s list? Form 7: One should submit Form 7 Application to remove a particular name from the Voter’s list.
How to make changes to the Voter’s list? Form 8: Form 8 should be filled if there is a change in a voter’s residence, if correction of entries in the Voter ID is needed, or if a replacement of the Voter ID is required without any other corrections.
Right to appeal till Novermber 28: Claims and objections to the draft voter list can be submitted through the VHA mobile app, or through www.voters.eci.gov.in, or with the polling station officers, Sub-Divisional Officers, and the concerned Tahsildar’s offices.
Following the directive of the Election Commission of India, a timeline has been issued for the revision of Electoral rolls for assembly constituencies, with 1st January 2025 designated as the Final date.
