North Karnataka’s first dedicated Air Cargo terminal has been made operational at Hubballi Airport with effect from today. Union minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi has announced the same through his Twitter handle.
The dedicated Cargo terminal at Hubballi Airport is spread across 1000sq.m and is having a one-time hold capacity of 100MT & an Annual capacity of 15000 MT. The new facility is capable of handling General, Perishable, and other goods including Valuable and Dangerous goods.
AAI Cargo Logistics and Allied Services (AAICLAS) has converted the Old terminal of Hubballi Airport into a full-fledged Cargo terminal at a cost of Rs 65 lakhs. The terminal has separate spaces for Incoming and outgoing Cargo.
The formal inauguration of the Cargo terminal will be done shortly. Tweeting the pictures of the dedicated Air Cargo terminal, he said that “With a vision to improve the trade and logistics profile around the North Karnataka region, the new facility has been made operational”.
