Big Bazaar to reopen as Reliance Smart Bazaar

One of the very first Hypermarts to open in Hubballi, Big Bazaar will re-open as Reliance Smart Bazaar. Big Bazaar was closed since a few days to allow rebranding.

Future Group, the chain handling Big Bazaar has shut most of its stores across the country. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Retail has taken over Future Group store spaces.

Reliance Retail has now decided to rebrand Big Bazaar across the nation as Reliance Smart Bazaar. The stores will come up at all the locations where Big Bazaar outlets were present.

Reliance, the tenant of Big Bazaar has shut most of the Future Group stores on account of Non-payment of rent. The sudden closure of Big Bazaar had puzzled the twin cities’ citizens.
