Former industries minister Jagadish Shettar performed Bhoomi Pooja and initiated the construction of the Home Appliances and Electronics production unit of Aequs Private Limited near Itigatti in Hubballi.
Speaking at the event, Shri Jagadish Shettar said that ” In a bid to boost the development of North Karnataka and create job opportunities, we have sanctioned 400 acres of land for this project during my tenure as minister”.
Aequs Private Limited is investing around ₹3450 Crores and the project is estimated to create around 20,000 direct and 10,000 indirect jobs.
Aequs SEZ will develop a CEDG cluster near Itigatti in Hubballi. The industrial unit will have Warehouse facilities, Logistics Hub, Skill Development Center, and other support services
