Electrification of one of the most important Railway lines in Karnataka i.e Bengaluru to Hubballi line is progressing well, and now it has reached Davanagere outer.
The electrification of the entire stretch from Bengaluru to Hubballi is being executed simultaneously at different locations to complete the project soon.
As of now, the stretch in between Bengaluru and Tumakuru has been fully electrified. Poles have been erected at certain places in between Tumakuru and Arsikere.
OHE foundation work is in progress between Arsikere and Birur. Poles have been erected and wiring has been completed in between Birur junction and Chikkajajur.
Chikkajajur railway station is fully electrified and CRS has also been completed (part of the Chikkajajur-Hosadurga project). OHE foundation work in progress till Davanagere outer.
Central government has planned to run Vande Bharat express train between Bengaluru and Dharwad. For that, electrification in between Bengaluru and Hubballi needs to be completed.

However, there are no signs of electrification whatsoever in between Hubballi and Davanagere. SWR can start electrifying from the Hubballi side as well to minimize the project duration.
South Western Railways (SWR) is expediting all the electrification projects in Karnataka. Marching towards mission 100% electrification, SWR has electrified 511.7 RKM in a year (Highest ever in a year!).
Why electrification of railway lanes? Where there’s no lift or escalators are working , what is the use for general public, simply to ate money in the name of upgradation by officers. When asking and complaining about the escalators they have answers….technical problems. So nobody here to think about it. only showing that 1 and 1/2 kms longest platform world record .🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

KK Express And Udyan Express Run via From Guntakal To Hospet ,Koppel, Gadag, And Vijapur. It is very Good route and save the time to passengers.
In station there is no escalator to move old patient from 1st platform to 2nd platform. Lot of problem is going to move from hear and there.
Pleas improve platform immediately and escalator
