There is some good news for aspiring pilots of North Karnataka! Mumbai-based Ekvi Air will establish a Flying Training Organization (FTO) soon at Hubballi Airport.
A Land Lease Agreement was recently signed between the Airport Authority of India’s Hubballi Airport and Ekvi Air. As per AAI Bid document, FTO will be established at an area of 5000sq.m.
Hubballi Airport director Pramod Kumar Thakre (on behalf of AAI) and Captain Sachin Bhane, the Director of Ekvi Air signed the Land Lease Agreement at Hubballi Airport.
Establishment of Flying Training Organizations (FTO) in various airports is an initiative of AAI to make India a Global Flying Training Hub in the aviation industry.
EkviAir has also won bids to establish Flying Training Organization at Salem Airport in Tamilnadu, Bhavnagar Airport in Gujarat and Kadapa Airport in Andhra Pradesh.
Airport Authority of India (AAI) had invited bids to establish Flying Training Organization (FTO) at select airports in the country on 22nd February, 2022.
Similar Flying Training Organizations will also be established in Coochbehar, Deoghar, Jharsuguda, Tezu, Kishangarh, Meerut, Kadapa, Bhavnagar, and Salem Airports.
