CM Basavaraj Bommai presented the Karnataka Budget 2022-23 in the legislative assembly today. Presenting his maiden budget, the CM said that the total outlay of the budget is Rs 2,65,720 Crores.
Citizens of HD had high expectations from the state budget as CM Bommai hails from Hubballi Dharwad. As expected, barring few, most of the expectations have been met in the budget.

Hubballi will get a branch of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. The centre will come up at a cost of Rs 250 Crores.
Karnataka government has finally given green signal to Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Cluster at Dharwad. The government will announce a special package soon.
The government has also accorded Special Investment Region (SIR) status to Dharwad and Tumakuru. With SIR, more industries are expected to be established in and around Dharwad district.
The government has decided to upgrade the ESI Hospitals at Hubballi and Davanagere. The upgrade is likely to add few more beds to the existing facility.
To help the emerging start-ups, Karnataka government has decided to fund them under Beyond Bengaluru initiative at a cost of Rs 20 Crores. Hubballi, Mangaluru and Mysuru have been selected for the same.
Dharwad Kittur Belagavi direct railway line will be constructed at a cost of Rs 927 Crores. Karnataka will give all possible support to finish the project as soon as possible.
The government has reserved funds of Rs 1000 Crores for Kalasa Bhanduri Naala diversion project. The project is likely to supply drinking water to many north karnataka districts.
To help the students, the government has decided to construct hostels with a capacity to accomadate 1,000 students at Hubballi Dharwad, Belagavi, Kalburagi, Mangaluru and Mysuru.
