The Government of Karnataka, in partnership with IRCTC Limited, has announced the “Karnataka Bharat Gaurav Dwarka Darshan,” a theme-based pilgrimage tour via Hubballi covering three prominent Jyotirlingas in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra.
The 8-day tourist package covers prominent Jyotirlingas in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, including Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Somnath, and Trimbakeshwar.
The train departs from SMVT Bengaluru and has boarding points at SMVT Bengaluru, Tumkur, Birur, Davanagere, Haveri, Hubballi, and Belagavi. The fare is 20,000₹, but the Karnataka government is offering a 5,000₹ subsidy.
The train is scheduled to depart on 28th September 2024. Currently, only one trip has been announced. The itinerary includes the following destinations and places.
Dwarka: Dwarkadhish Temple, Beyt Dwarka & Nageshwar Jyotirlinga; Somnath: Somnath Temple; Nashik: Trimbakeshwar Jyothirlinga.
The package includes a train journey on the Bharat Gaurav Special tourist train in 3AC class. Night stays will be provided in hotels in non-AC rooms on a twin/triple sharing basis.
Wash and change as per the itinerary in hotels in non-AC rooms. All meals will be vegetarian. All transfers and sightseeing will be provided by non-AC buses.
The package includes travel insurance for passengers, and the total fare covers all taxes. Adequate security will be provided on board the train.
The package does not include the Cost of sightseeing, Entrance and Local guides, Boating, Adventure sports etc. Any kind of room service will be chargeable.
Any expenses of a personal nature such as Laundry expenses, Mineral water, Food and drinks not on the regular menu will be on a chargeable basis.
Cancellation charges for the Bharat Gaurav Dakshina Yatra train are as follows:
- Up to 15 days (excluding departure date): 250₹ per passenger.
- Up to 8-14 days (excluding departure date): 25% of package cost.
- Up to 4-7 days (excluding departure date): 50% of package cost.
- Less than 04 days: 100% of the package cost.
