Some good news for the people of Hubballi Dharwad. Hubballi Airport has managed to remain 3rd Busiest Airport in Karnataka for the month of August 2024.
Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released City-Pairwise Passenger, Cargo, and Air Traffic Statistics of Hubballi Airport for the month of August 2024.
According to the data released, a total of 29,721 passengers travelled from Hubballi Airport, and 28.8 Tonnes of Cargo was handled from Hubballi Airport including Mail.
Mumbai sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX. 8,225 passengers travelled to and from Mumbai (3,875 arriving passengers and 4,350 departing passengers). Mumbai sector recorded 3.8 tonnes of Cargo including Mail.
7,650 passengers travelled to and from Bengaluru Airport (3,866 passengers arrived and 3,784 passengers departed). Bengaluru sector contributed 6.8 tonnes of Cargo including mail.
7,486 passengers travelled to and from Delhi (3,613 passengers arrived and 3,873 passengers departed). Delhi sector contributed 15.5 tonnes of Cargo including mail.
3,228 passengers travelled to and from Hyderabad (1,733 arriving passengers and 1,495 departing passengers). Hyderabad sector recorded 2.1 tonnes of Cargo including Mail.
1,672 passengers travelled to and from Pune (867 arriving passengers and 805 departing passengers). Pune sector recorded 0.4 tonnes of Cargo including Mail.
1,460 passengers travelled to and from Chennai Airport (707 passengers arrived and 753 passengers departed). Chennai sector recorded 0.4 tonnes of Cargo including Mail.

IndiGo operates direct flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Delhi and Mumbai sector is operated by 186-seater Airbus A320 aircraft, and IndiGo operates it every day.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential sectors like Jaipur, Jodhpur, etc.
