Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released City-Pair wise Air Traffic Statistics of Hubballi Airport for the month of January 2023.
According to the data released, a total of 31,289 passengers traveled from Hubballi Airport and around 5.1 Tonnes of Cargo and 1.4 Tonnes of Mail was lifted from Hubballi Airport.
Delhi sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX. A total of 8,697 passengers used Hubballi Airport (4,408 passengers arrived and 4,289 passengers departed).
Delhi sector also contributed the highest cargo shipment from Hubballi Airport. A total of 4.3 Tonnes of Cargo was lifted from the Hubballi Airport.
8,560 passengers travelled to and from Bengaluru Airport (4,222 passengers arrived and 4,338 passengers departed). Delhi sector overtook Bengaluru airport in December 2022.
4,348 passengers travelled to and from Mumbai Airport (2,215 passengers arrived and 2,133 passengers departed). Mumbai sector recorded 0.3 tonnes of Cargo movement.
3,486 passengers travelled to and from Chennai Airport (1,623 passengers arrived and 1,863 passengers departed). Chennai sector recorded 0.8 tonnes of Cargo including 0.6 tonnes of mail.
Hyderabad sector had 1,774 arriving passengers and 1,776 departing passengers. Hindon (Delhi) sector had 405 arriving passengers and 341 departing passengers from Hubballi.
Mangalore sector had 705 arriving passengers and 801 departing passengers. Mysuru sector had 181 arriving passengers and 215 departing passengers from HBX.
IndiGo has made Hubballi to Pune direct flight Daily from March 11th 2023. IndiGo has decided to deploy 78-seater ATR-72 aircraft for the same.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential sectors like Jaipur, Jodhpur, etc.
