22,626 passengers used Hubballi Airport in Dec-2021

According to the data released by Hubballi Airport authorities, a total of 22,320 passengers traveled by 446 flight movements (including Arrivals and Departures) from Hubballi Airport.

Bengaluru sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX. As many as 10,445 passengers traveled in between Hubballi and Bengaluru via Hubballi Airport.

8959 passengers traveled between Hubballi and Bengaluru through IndiGo airlines with an occupancy rate of 92.63%. IndiGo operated 124 flights (including Arrivals and Departures) in between two cities.

1486 passengers traveled between Hubballi and Bengaluru through Star Air with an occupancy rate of 82.56%. Star Air operated 36 flights (including Arrivals and Departures) in between two cities.

Hindon sector, one of the most important sectors from Hubballi reported an occupancy of 96.17%. 1731 passengers traveled in between Hubballi and Hindon (Delhi) with 36 flight movements.

At present, Star Air is operating Hubballi-Hindon flight with a frequency of 4 flights/week. There has been a strong demand in the business community to increase the frequency to daily.

Mumbai sector contributed 3931 passengers through 62 flight movements with an occupancy rate of 81.29%.

Chennai sector contributed 3321 passengers through 62 flight movements with an occupancy rate of 68.67%.

Hubballi Kochi sector contributed 2286 passengers with 62 flight movements, whereas the Kannur sector was used by 875 travelers with the same flight movements. Both the sectors showed less than 50% occupancy.

Star Air had reduced the frequency of Hubballi and Tirupati flight to 2 days/week from 4 days/week. However, they operated only one flight in the entire month (37 passengers in 2 flight movements).
