100 Bed Makeshift Hospital at KIMS is ready

A 100 Bed Makeshift Hospital by Vedanta Group is all set to treat patients at KIMS Campus in Hubballi. The construction of the hospital has been completed in just 15 days. DC Nitesh Patil had requested Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi to increase healthcare facilities in the district.

Responding to his request, Pralhad Joshi had requested the Chairman of Vedanta group Anil Agarwal to set up a Makeshift Hospital at Hubballi keeping in mind the increasing Covid Cases. Anil Agarwal had agreed to set up a 100 Bed Makeshift Hospital with Oxygen Provision.

Vedanta Group has set up a similar hospital in Chitradurga as well. Pralhad Joshi had learned that the Vedanta Group is establishing Covid Care hospitals at limited time using CSR funds in different states. He spoke with the Chairman of the group Anil Agarwal to set up a similar hospital in his constituency.

Out of 100 beds, 20 will have ICU Facilities and the other 80 beds will have oxygen provision. Doctors and Nursing staff will be provided by the District Administration. The entire Infrastructure has been constructed by Vedanta Group.

The positivity rate at Dharwad district is still comparatively high at around 10%. The District is still reporting 250+ cases every day and there are 2,761 active cases. The addition of the new facility will definitely help to treat critical patients.
