South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to run Hubballi Mangalore special train (Train number 07311 and 07312) via Bengaluru to clear the festival rush. Details are as follows.
Train number 07311 Hubballi Mangalore festival special train departs Hubballi at 4:00 PM on 2nd November and reaches Mangalore junction at 11:45 AM on the next day.
En route the train stops Haveri, Harihar, Davanagere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumkur, Yeshwanthpur, Kunigal, Channarayapattana, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subramanya Road, Kabaka Puttur and Bantwala.
The train arrives at Yeshwanthpur railway station at 11:55 PM on the same day. The route could have been via Arsikere and Hassan to minimize the distance traveled.
South Western Railway (SWR) has combined two trains: Hubballi to Bengaluru and Bengaluru to Mangalore Junction, to operate as a single service.
In the return direction, Train number 07312 Mangalore to Hubballi special train departs Mangalore junction at 1:00 PM on 3rd November and reaches Hubballi at 7:00 AM on the next day.
The train has a composition of 15 coaches including 1 AC 2-tier coach, 2 AC first class cum 3-tier AC, 3 AC 3-tier coaches, 5 sleeper coaches, 2 General class and 2 Luggage cum brake van coaches.
