South Eastern Railway (SER) has decided to run Santragachi Railway Station (Howrah, near Kolkata) to Hubballi Special train one trip in each direction to clear the extra rush.
Santragachi to Hubballi train departs Santragachi on 27th March and the Hubballi to Santragachi train departs Hubballi on 30th March. Other details are as follows.
Train number 08840 Santragachi Hubballi Special train departs Santragachi Railway Station (Howrah, near Kolkata) at 6:00 PM on 27th March and reaches Hubballi at 8:00 AM on 29th March.
En route, the train stops at Kharagpur, Tatanagar, Chakaradharpur, Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Bilaspur, Raipur, Gondia, Balharshah, Manchiryal.
Kazipet, Secunderabad, Raichur, Guntakal, Ballari, Tornagallu, Hosapete, Koppal, Gadag and terminates at SSS Hubballi Railway Station.
On the return direction, Train number 08841 Hubballi Santragachi Express special train departs Hubballi Railway Station at 10:30 AM on 30th March and reaches Santragachi at 4:20 AM on 1st of April.
The train will have a composition of 24 coaches including 22 Sleeper coaches and 2 SLRD coaches. Primary maintenance will be at Santragachi and Secondary maintenance will be at Hubballi.

The train covers the 2279km distance between Hubballi and Santragachi in around 38 hours. The average speed of the train is 60km/hr. The train has one reversal at Guntakal.
