South Western Railway (SWR) has decided to restore the services of Train Number 07339/07340 Hubballi KSR Bengaluru Hubballi Superfast Express from 30th November.
Posting this news on Twitter, Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi said “Immediately after I returned from Rajasthan, I took up this issue with Railway authorities and they assured that the train will resume within a couple of days and accordingly they have restored the train”.
“The express train has been a great convenience for the passengers, and I am certain that the restoration of its services will greatly help the public in the coming days.” he added.
South Western Railways had cancelled the train indefintely citing poor occupancy. The move had received widespread backlash from the citizens of Hubballi Dharwad.
Launching a campaign on twitter, citizens of Hubballi Dharwad had debunked the excuse given by SWR officials by posting the reservation status, PNR messages and live pictures of the train showcasing the occupancy level.
Train Number 07339 SSS Hubballi to KSR Bengaluru Superfast train leaves Hubballi Railway Station at 11:15 PM and reaches KSR Bengaluru Railway Station at 6:50 AM.
En route, the train stops at Davanagere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, Yeshwantpur, and KSR Bengaluru Railway stations. The stoppages remain the same in both directions.
Train Number 07340 KSR Bengaluru to SSS Hubballi Superfast Express train leaves Bengaluru at 11:55 PM and reaches SSS Hubballi railway station at 7:30 AM on the next day.
The train will have a composition of 19 coaches comprising of 1 AC 2-tier coach, 1 AC 3-tier coach, 11 Sleeper coaches, 4 Second class coaches, and 2 Luggage-cum-Brakevan with Disabled friendly compartments.
