North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) will celebrate its Silver Jubilee on September 24. NWKRTC has organised the Silver Jubilee ceremony at Dr Virendra Heggade Kalakshetra, Dharwad at 4 PM.
The function includes the celebration of the 25th Foundation Day of NWKRTC, Felicitation of Silver medals to accident-free drivers, Inauguration of various projects and Prize distribution ceremony to winning teams in sports competitions.
Hubballi is the headquarters of North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC). NWKRTC was established on 1st October 1997 under the provision of the Road Transport Corporation Act 1950.
Union Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi will inaugurate 50 new buses and some of the Refurbished buses at Hubballi’s Hosur Regional Bus Stand.
Ramalingareddy, Chairman of North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation and Minister of Transport will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee ceremony and distribute silver medals to accident-free drivers.
Labor Minister and Dharwad In-charge Minister Santhosh Lad will inaugurate the Driving test track and launch Cashless e-purse Smart card for Hubballi Dharwad city transport.
Vidhan Parishad Chairman Basavaraja Horatti will launch the e-warehousing software and release the souvenir as part of the Silver Jubilee celebration.
Members of the Legislative Council and former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, MLAs Vinaya Kulkarni, Abbayya Prasada, NH Konraddy, S V Sankanoor, Pradeep Shettar, Mahesh Tenginakai, M.R. Patil, Mayor of Hubballi Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) Veena Bharadwad, and all the elected representatives of North West Karnataka Road Transport Authority will participate in the event.
Karnataka Legislative Council Chief Salim Ahmed will distribute the prizes to the winning teams of the inter-departmental tournaments. MLA Arvind Bellad will preside over the program.
