Karnataka government has released fresh Covid-19 guidelines owing to the rise of cases being reported in countries like China, Japan, and the United States of America (USA).
The government has asked to follow 5 point strategy i.e Test, Track, Treat, Vaccination and Adherence to the Covid Appropriate Behaviour to tackle the rising cases. The detailed guidelines are as follows.
Karnataka has made it compulsory for all the patients showing ILI/SARI symptoms taking treatment in any of the hospitals needs to undergo a Covid-19 test.
The Primary and Secondary contacts of the person infected with Covid-19 should compulsorily undergo testing.
BBMP and the administration heads of all the districts should make necessary arrangements to test all the incoming patients.
A sub-section (2% of the total passengers) arriving at Bengaluru and Mangaluru International Airport will undergo Random post-arrival testing on arrival.
Karnataka will reserve minimum Isolation beds at District hospitals and all government hospitals. All the Covid-19 test samples having CT Values less than 25 will undergo Genome sequencing.
The Oxygen plants at all the hospitals across Karnataka will be checked to make sure that they are ready to supply sufficient oxygen if the need arises as per demand.
Government will do a dry-run of all the Oxygen plant facilities in Karnataka once in 15 days. All the hospital staff are advised to wear mask at all times.
The booster dose campaign will also be speeded up to reach the target of at least 50% by the end of January 2023.
