IndiGo restarts Hubballi Mumbai flight, gets good response on day 1

India’s largest airline, IndiGo restarted the Hubballi to Mumbai direct flight yesterday (July 15th). The flight received a good response from the citizens of Hubballi Dharwad.

The flight had an occupancy of 163 out of 186 seats (87.63%) from Mumbai to Hubballi whereas, the occupancy from Hubballi to Mumbai was 111 out of 186 seats (59.67%). Average occupancy is 73.65%.

IndiGo has deployed an 186-seater Airbus A320 for the same. So, Hubballi Airport becomes the only airport in North Karnataka to have 2 daily Airbus flights.

Schedule: Flight 6E 736 departs Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai at 3:00 PM and reaches Hubballi Airport at 4:10 PM. The flight will operate on all days.

In the return direction, flight 6E 737 departs Hubballi Airport at 4:40 PM and reaches Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai at 5:50 PM.

Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had followed up with IndiGo management and CSMIA officials to resume the Hubballi Mumbai flight at the earliest.

Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors, and the addition of a few other potential routes such as Jaipur, Kolkata, and Jodhpur.

IndiGo had temporarily suspended the Hubballi Mumbai flight due to severe air congestion at Mumbai Airport. The resumption of flight has brought huge relief to frequent travellers.
