The day that all of us are eagerly waiting for has finally arrived. Dharwad to Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express (Karnataka’s first intrastate VB) will be inaugurated on June 27.
The inaugural run has been arranged from Dharwad to Bengaluru at 10 AM from Dharwad Railway Station on June 27th. PM Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate it virtually via video conference.
The train will operate on 6 days/week (except Tuesday). The train will comprise of 7 Chair Car coaches and 1 Executive Chair Car coach. The expected pricing is as follows.
Bengaluru to Hubballi: SWR is likely to charge ₹1050-1100 for Chair Car (CC) and ₹2150-2200 for the Executive Chair Car (EC). Food is optional, the fare will reduce by 150₹ if one chooses to opt-out of food.
Bengaluru to Dharwad: The likely fare of Vande Bharat Express between Bengaluru and Dharwad is ₹1150-1200 for Chair Car (CC) and ₹2250-2300 for Executive Chair Car (EC).
The train will have scheduled stoppages in Yeshwantpur, Davanagere, and Hubballi. The trial run of the Vande Bharat Express clocked an average speed of 85.27km/h between Bengaluru and Hubballi.
As per sources, The train departs KSR Bengaluru (SBC) at 5:45 AM and reaches Dharwad at 12:10 PM. En route, the train stops at Yeshwantpur at 5:55 AM, Davanagere at 9:15 AM, and Hubballi at 11:30 AM.
In the return direction, The train leaves Dharwad at 1:15 PM and reaches KSR Bengaluru at 7:45 PM. En route, the train stops at Hubballi (1:35 PM), Davanagere (3:38 PM), and Yeshwantpur (7:13 PM).
However, SWR is likely to speed up the schedule in both directions. The trial run had covered Bengaluru to Hubballi in 5 and half hours and end to end distance in 6 hours and 13 minutes.
