Hubballi Airport witnesses 4.73% increase in passenger traffic

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has released Air traffic statistics for the month of May 2024. As per the report; 24,599 passengers used Hubballi Airport in the month of May 2024.

Hubballi Airport registered a 4.73% increase as far as the number of passengers compared to the last month. 23,488 passengers had used Hubballi Airport in the month of April 2024.

The airport registered 364 flight movements in the month of May 2024. Hubli had handled 352 flights in April 2024. An increase of 3.4% in flight movements is observed.

The airport handled 24.1 MT of Cargo in the month of May 2024. Hubballi had handled 14.9 MT of Cargo during April 2024. An increase of 61.75% in Cargo movements is observed.

During the same month last year (May 2023), Hubli Airport had handled 572 flight movements and 33,509 passengers. The airport had handled 4 MT of Cargo during the same month.

IndiGo operates direct flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Delhi sector is operated by 186-seater Airbus A320 aircraft, and IndiGo operates it on all days.

Also, Indigo has decided to restart the Hubli Mumbai direct flight from July 15th. IndiGo had temporarily suspended the Hubballi Mumbai flight due to severe air congestion at Mumbai Airport. Details on it here.

Passengers from Hubballi are requesting resumption of theĀ Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential routes like Jaipur, Kolkata, Jodhpur, etc.
