Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has released City-Pair wise Passenger, Cargo, and Air Traffic Statistics of Hubballi Airport for the month of May 2023.
According to the data released, a total of 32,111 passengers traveled from Hubballi Airport, and around 4.8 Tonnes of Cargo and 1.4 Tonnes of Mail was lifted from Hubballi Airport.
Delhi sector contributed the highest number of passengers from HBX. A total of 10,787 passengers used Hubballi Airport (5,587 passengers arrived and 5,200 passengers departed). Delhi sector contributed 2.3 tonnes of Cargo including mail.
8,560 passengers travelled to and from Bengaluru Airport (3,932 passengers arrived and 4,158 passengers departed). Delhi sector overtook Bengaluru airport in December 2022.
Bengaluru sector contributed the highest cargo shipment from Hubballi Airport. A total of 2.4 Tonnes of Cargo was lifted from the Hubballi Airport including mail.
4,403 passengers travelled to and from Mumbai Airport (2,231 passengers arrived and 2,172 passengers departed). Mumbai sector recorded 0.2 tonnes of Cargo movement.
3,882 passengers travelled to and from Chennai Airport (1,942 passengers arrived and 1,940 passengers departed). Chennai sector recorded 1 tonne of Cargo including 0.5 tonnes of mail.
Hyderabad sector had 1,994 arriving passengers and 2,039 departing passengers. Pune sector had 431 arriving passengers and 485 departing passengers from Hubballi.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential sectors like Jaipur, Jodhpur, etc.
