India’s largest airline, IndiGo has started Hubli to Mangalore direct flight from today. The airline has deployed 78-seater ATR 72-600 aircraft in the sector.
The inaugural flight from Hubballi to Mangaluru (6E 7189) departed Hubballi Airport at 6:08 PM. The return flight from Mangalore to Hubli (6E-7191) is scheduled to land at Hubballi Airport around 7:40 PM.
IndiGo is also connecting Hubballi Airport with Mysuru with effective from May 3rd. The airline will deploy 78-seater ATR 72-600 aircraft. IndiGo has also started Hyderabad flight (Frequency: Daily) recently.
Mangalore sector will be operated 4 days per week on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The detailed schedule of flights can be found here.
Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had contacted the IndiGo team to start Mangalore and Mysuru flight. Responding to his request, the airline had decided to operate direct flights in both sectors.
The airline was supposed to start the Hubballi Mangalore flight in March 2020. However, as the pandemic happened, IndiGo decided to postpone the launch of a direct flight in between two cities.
Passengers from Hubballi are requesting the resumption of Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential sectors like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kolkata, Coimbatore and Delhi.

With an MP as useless as Mr. Prahlad Joshi, Hubli will never grow. Like khupmenduks flights aew Hubli-Bangalore or Hubli Mangalore, or Hubli Mysore. No connectivity outside the state. Same story with trains also. Worst MP for this region ever!
