Hubballi Airport continues to be 3rd busiest airport in Karnataka

There is some good news for Hubballi Dharwad! Hubballi Airport has managed to retain its position as the 3rd busiest airport in Karnataka (As per AAI data).

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has released Air traffic statistics for the month of September 2024. As per the report; 29,576 passengers used  Hubballi Airport in the month of September 2024.

Hubballi Airport registered a 0.8% decrease as far as the number of passengers compared to the last month. 29,816 passengers had used Hubballi Airport in the month of August 2024.

The airport handled 32.2 MT of Cargo in the month of September 2024. Hubballi had handled 22.7 MT of Cargo during August 2024. An increase of 41.85% in Cargo movements is observed.

The airport saw 380 flight movements in September 2024. Hubli had handled 388 flight movements in August 2024. A decrease of 2.06% in flight movements is observed.

During the same month last year (September 2023), Hubli Airport had handled 398 flight movements and 26,317 passengers. The airport had handled 8 MT of Cargo during the same month.

IndiGo operates direct flights to Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Delhi and Mumbai sector is operated by 186-seater Airbus A320 aircraft, and IndiGo operates it on all days.

Passengers from Hubli are requesting resumption of the Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential routes like Jaipur, Kolkata, Jodhpur, etc.
