There is some good news for the people of Hubballi Dharwad! Indigo, India’s largest airline has decided to restart the Hubballi Mumbai direct flight from July 15th.
IndiGo had temporarily suspended the Hubballi Mumbai flight due to severe air congestion at Mumbai Airport. Resumption of flight will bring huge relief to frequent travellers.
Union Minister and Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi had followed up with IndiGo management and CSMIA officials to resume the Hubballi Mumbai flight at the earliest.
Announcing the same on Twitter, he said “Flights between Hubballi and Mumbai will resume on July 15th as per my request to the IndiGo management”.
Schedule: Flight 6E 736 departs Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai at 3:00 PM and reaches Hubballi Airport at 4:10 PM. The flight will operate on all days.
In the return direction, flight 6E 737 departs Hubballi Airport at 4:40 PM and reaches Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 5:50 PM.
IndiGo has decided to deploy 186-seater Airbus A320 for the same. So, Hubballi Airport becomes the only airport in North Karnataka to have 2 Airbus flights per day.

Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi has thanked the Civil Aviation Ministry, CSMI Airport and IndiGo management for their cooperation in implementing this proposal.
Passengers from  Hubballi are requesting resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential routes like Jaipur, Kolkata, Jodhpur, etc.
