Tender called for Construction of Taxiway to the Flying Training Organization at Hubballi Airport

Airport Authority of India (AAI’s) Hubballi Airport has invited tenders for the Construction of a Taxiway to connect the Old apron to the proposed Flying Training Organization (FTO).

As per the tender, a 10.5m wide Taxiway will connect the Flying Training Organization (FTO) to the Old apron towards the eastern side of the Main apron.

The tender also includes the work of diverting existing power cables from the proposed location of the Flying Training Organization.

The total cost of the project is estimated to be ₹59,07,109 (excluding GST). The project is likely to be completed within a period of 4 months.

Mumbai-based Ekvi Air has won the bid to establish Flying Training Organization (FTO) in Hubballi Airport. Soon, A Pilot training institute will be established at Hubballi Airport.

Recently, Hubballi Airport director Pramod Kumar Thakre (on behalf of AAI) and Captain Sachin Bhane, the director of Ekvi Air had signed the Land Lease Agreement at the Hubballi Airport.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) had invited bids to establish Flying Training Organization (FTO) at select airports in the country on 22nd February 2022.

Similar Flying Training Organizations will also be established in Coochbehar, Deoghar, Jharsuguda, Tezu, Kishangarh, Meerut, Kadapa, Bhavnagar, and Salem Airports.

The tendering process is online at the e-portal address https://etenders.gov.in/eprocure/app or through www.aai.aero. The aspiring bidders have been asked to go through the tender document.

The bidder has to deposit an EMD (Earnest Money Deposit) of ₹1,18,142. It is required to pay the EMD online on CPP Portal.

Important dates: The bid document sale started on December 2nd. The bidders can seek any clarification till 6 PM on 9th of December, 2022.

The bids can be submitted up to 5 PM on the 22nd of December, 2022. The bid (Envelope 1) will be opened at 5:30 PM on 23rd December 2022. Envelope 2 will be opened on 29th December 2022 (11:00 AM).
