Techceleration Hubballi on October 2&3, part of Beyond Bengaluru initiative

Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) has organized Techceleration, a 2 days tech event in Hubballi as part of the Beyond Bengaluru initiative by the Government of Karnataka.

Techceleration has been organized as part of the Pre Bangalore Tech Summit-2022 in November. Techceleration has been organized at Denissons Hotel in Hubballi on 2nd and 3rd of October, 2022.

The event has been organized keeping in mind the tech entrepreneurs of Hubballi Dharwad and Belagavi (HDB) region. The detailed itinerary of the event is as follows.

Techceleration Day 1: 10 AM to 1 PM — HDB Blue – The program aims at connecting budding startups selected after rigorous evaluations to meet up with the investors to seek investment on their idea/product.

Day 1: 2 PM to 4:30 PM – Women @ Work panel discussion — A theme-based session including keynote addresses and panel discussions from eminent women leaders from various industries.

On day 2, A walkathon has been arranged from 6 AM to 7:30 AM. Minister of IT, BT, Science and Technology Dr. Ashwathnarayan will flag off the Marathon from Denissons hotel.

Techceleration Day 2 event kickstarts at 10 AM with Keynotes and Addresses by various dignitaries in the industry. They are as follows:

Keynote Address by Ms. Meena Nagraj, IAS, MD KITS, Department of Electronics; Introductory Address by Mr. K.S. Viswanathan, VP NASSCOM; Special Keynote Address by Mr. Rishad Premji, Chairman Wipro.

Keynote Address by Mr. Shailendra Tyagi, Director STPI; Special Address by Mr. Abhishek Singh, CEO Digital India Corporation; Special Address by Mr. Jitender Chaddah, Vice President & Country Head India, Global Foundries.

Keynote Address by Dr. Gururaj (Desh) Deshpande; Keynote Address by Sh. B V Naidu, Chairman KDEM and Keynote Address by Sh. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology.

Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi will launch the Next Gen VLSI Design Skill Program. Mr. Vivek Pawar, KDEM Industry Anchor, CEO of Deshpande Foundation will render the Vote of thanks.

Followed by a Fireside chat between Dr. Ashok Shettar, VC KLE Tech University & Mr. Ketan Deshpande, Founder & CEO, FUEL on Future Skills ecosystem in emerging tech clusters.

The main agenda of the event HDB cluster-Accelerating Deeptech? willl be discussed from 12:10 PM to 1:00 PM. The panel will discuss Deeptech by following dignitaries.

Santosh Salimath, Senior Cloud Architect, Google India; Mr. Lokesh Rysandra Boregowda, Director Samsung R&D Institute; Mr. Pradeep Basappa Khannur, Solution Director, HCL Technologies; Mr. Umakant Soni, Co-Founder & CEO-ARTPARK.

India is witnessing a boom in Deeptech startups, especially in cybersecurity, quantum computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and semiconductor.

According to the latest report by NASSCOM, the country is home to more than 3,000 Deeptech startups, with a cumulative growth of 53% in the past 10 years.

However, the deep tech start-up ecosystem faces multiple challenges including talent and market access, research guidance, and customer acquisition.

With global trends indicating greater investment in the field, undoubtedly governments and corporates in India will soon follow suit to usher in a DeepTech revolution.

This session will address how emerging tech clusters are proactive in creating a conducive environment through an optimum synergy balance among government-academia- and industry for deep tech like AI/ML.

Apart from it, various keynotes have been planned on differnet subjects, Few of them are as follows:

1) Connecting the dots in emerging tech clusters-investors, start-ups, and talent: Investor Mindset; 2) How large corporates are looking at leveraging ER&D and deep-tech capabilities for global market access.

Later at 5:30 PM, MoU will be signed with selected companies. The event will be moderated by Mr. Venkatesh Patil, MD Belgaum Oxygen Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Santosh Hurallikoppi, Chief Mentor FUEL & CEO NS Infotech Ltd will present Vote of thanks.
