Ministry of Railways has sanctioned Rs. 2.22 Crores for conducting the final location survey for quadrupling (increasing the number of lines to 4) Hospet to Bellary railway line (Length – 65km).
Hospet to Bellary section gets heavy goods traffic as the section houses many steel manufacturing industries. Quadrupling will help to reduce the wait time and increase on-time performance.
Ministry of Railways has also sanctioned Rs. 5.94 Crores for conducting the final location survey of Swamihalli to Rayadurga new railway line. The length of the new line is 52km.
Ministry of Railways is committed to enhance the capacity to effectively meet the requirements of transportation or logistics of its customers.
South Western Railway (SWR) will undertake the final location survey and submit report to the railway board for further consideration in due course.
