To benefit the people of North Karnataka, Union minister Pralhad Joshi advised SWR to start the Rajdhani Express to connect Hubballi with the national capital New Delhi.
SWR has responded positively to the minister’s request and has agreed to send a proposal to the Railway Board to start the Rajdhani express with immediate effect.
Pralhad Joshi Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines of India chaired a review meeting at Rail Soudha, Headquarters of SWR today.
Minister Joshi reviewed the progress of important projects undertaken by SWR in Karnataka namely Hubballi-Ankola line, Tumkur– Chitradurga– Davanagere New Line, Dharwad-Belagavi New Line, Hubballi-Chikajajur Doubling project, Hosapete-Vasco Da Gama electrification, and Road Over Bridge at LC No.299,300 & 18 in Dharwad district.
A brief presentation on the achievements of SWR in new-line, doubling, electrification-related developments, and Parcel and Freight performance in 2021, was given to the Hon’ble Ministers.
Pralhad Joshi has also instructed to complete railway developmental projects expeditiously. He assured all possible support in the early resolution of bottlenecks (if any) about the projects.
SWR GM Sanjeev Kishore assured the Hon’ble Minister that his advice and instructions will be pursued in the right earnest.
SWR GM also assured that full efforts will be put by the SWR team to ensure speedy completion of railway developmental projects.
DRM, Hubballi Arvind Malkhede, HDMC Commissioner Suresh Itnal, and other senior officials were present during the meeting.
It’s Unfortunate that the Miraj-Belgaum-Londa Railway is not mentioned.The said work is going at snails pace /Almost Stopped.
Belgaum has lost its great and Noble mentor Shri Suresh Angadi Sir and has a lower hand.
God knows when the Railway Electrification will be Completed.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ದೆಹಲಿ ಗೆ ತಮಿಳು ನಾಡಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ನಗರವಾದ ಮದುರೈ ಹಾಗೂ coimbatore ನಲ್ಲೂ ರಾಜಧಾನಿ ಎಕ್ಸ್ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ರೈಲು ಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಬಿಸ ಬಹುದು .

Hubli Anokola project envisaged during British era. When in Kashmir Arunachal Pradesh & Manipur people waiting to see rail in their states with such a dense forest here perverted intrests trying to block the project. In fact Omar Abdullah ihas met Rly minister & requesting somemore Rail projects. Learn from Shimoga who are stealthily demanding to connect Talguppa& Honavar with the guidance of honourable ex CM Yeddyurappa. That route is thru thick forest. Then why these so called pseudo environmemlists not opposing that. Powerful politicians.from Hasan trying Rly route between Hasan& Chikamagaluru among western ghats. Don’t Oppose development projects in the intrest of nation pl.
