Hubballi Mumbai flight temporarily cancelled for a month

Due to severe air congestion at Mumbai Airport, IndiGo has decided to temporarily cancel the Hubballi Mumbai flight for a month. Details are as follows.

A statement from the Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that it was forced to step in after the Mumbai International Airport Limited failed to streamline the flight movements.

The ministry also found out that the Mumbai International Airport granted additional slots to the airlines in excess of its capacity and kept very less gap between various flights.

As of now, IndiGo has cancelled Hubli to Mumbai flight till March 30. The bookings for the same have been stopped in IndiGo’s booking portal and other third-party websites.

Acknowledging the cancellation, IndiGo‘s Station Manager at Hubballi Airport Sachin Shetty said that “The airline may resume the Hubli Mumbai flight as soon as possible”.

Some of the passengers who booked the flight took to social media and raised their concerns. Golden frankly, A Twitter user shared that he applied for a reschedule of his booked flight.

Replying to our tweet, he said “Had a ticket for Mumbai – Hubballi on 17th, now cancelled, got a reschedule done, indigo has not sent any info yet on the reschedule, thanks acted quickly due to your tweet”.

Schedule of Mumbai Hubballi flight: Mumbai to Hubballi flight (6E 936) departs Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 (CSIA) at 12:00 PM and reaches Hubli Airport at 1:15 PM.

In the return direction, the Hubballi to Mumbai flight (6E 937) departs Hubli Airport at 1:45 PM and reaches Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 (CSIA) at 2:55 PM. The airline deploys 186-seater Airbus A320 for the same.
