There is some good news for Hubballi Dharwad! Hubballi Airport has regained its position as the 3rd busiest airport in Karnataka (As per AAI data).
The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has released Air traffic statistics for the month of August 2024. As per the report; 29,816 passengers used  Hubballi Airport in the month of August 2024.
Hubballi Airport registered a 11.4% increase as far as the number of passengers compared to the last month. 26,763 passengers had used Hubballi Airport in the month of July 2024.
The airport handled 22.7 MT of Cargo in the month of August 2024. Hubli had handled 27.5 MT of Cargo during July 2024. A decrease of 17.45% in Cargo movements is observed.
The airport saw 388 flight movements in August 2024. Hubli had handled 356 flight movements in July 2024. An increase of 8.99% in flight movements is observed.
During the same month last year (August 2023), Hubli Airport had handled 418 flight movements and 28,885 passengers. The airport had handled 12 MT of Cargo during the same month.
IndiGo operates direct flights to Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad. The Delhi and Mumbai sector is operated by 186-seater Airbus A320 aircraft, and IndiGo operates it on all days.

Passengers from Hubballi are requesting resumption of the Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Goa sectors and adding a few other potential routes like Jaipur, Kolkata, Jodhpur, etc.
