South Western Railways (SWR) has decided to augment additional coaches to Hampi express (Train No. 06581/ 06582) and Golgumbaz express (Train No. 06535/06536) Covid-19 special trains. Both the trains will get 2 additional 3AC coaches and 1 additional sleeper coach.
For Hampi express, the change will be effective from 29th March at Hubballi and 30th March from Mysuru. And for Golgumbaz express, the change will be effective from 30th March at Mysuru and 31st March from Solapur. Both the trains have Rake sharing arrangements.
At present, both the trains have 18 coaches. The trains have 10 sleeper coaches, 1 3AC coach, 1 2AC coach, 4 General Section coaches, and 2 Seating cum Luggage Rake (SLR) coaches. The addition of 3 coaches will make both the trains into 21 coaches train.
Hampi express connects Hubballi and Mysuru via Hospet, Bellary, and Bengaluru. Train no 06581 leaves Hubballi at 6:20 PM and reaches Mysuru at 8:55 AM the next day (A/D at SBC Bengaluru is 5:50 AM/6:00 AM). Train no 06582 leaves Mysuru at 6:35 PM and reaches Hubballi at 10:25 AM next day (A/D at SBC Bengaluru is 9:50 PM/10:00 PM).
Golgumbaz express connects Solapur to Mysuru via Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Gadag, Hubballi and Bengaluru. Train no 06535 leaves Mysuru at 3:45 PM and reaches Solapur at 12:10 PM the next day (A/D at SSS Hubballi Jn is 3:25 AM/3:35 AM). Train no 06536 leaves Solapur at 2:10 PM and reaches Mysuru at 11:00 AM the next day (A/D at SSS Hubballi Jn is 10:45 PM/10:55 PM).
