CM BS Yediyurappa will chair a meeting with Ministers and Senior officials today evening to decide about further relaxations to be introduced in lockdown guidelines. The situation is improving in Karnataka as the Positivity rate has dropped to 4.05%.
The Karnataka Government may announce relaxations in Lockdown Guidelines of 11 districts where the strict Lockdown norms were continued as the Positivity rate of those districts was relatively high compared to other districts.
The government is also likely to introduce further relaxations in terms of the Movement of people and the Functioning of industries in the remaining 19 districts of the state.
The Karnataka Government had initially announced 14 days Janata Curfew kind of restrictions from April 27 but subsequently imposed a complete lockdown from May 10 to May 24, as the Covid cases continued to rise.
As the cases continued to rise, the government had extended the statewide lockdown till June 7th, which was subsequently extended till June 14th. The government had announced a few relaxations in 19 districts from June 14.
