Centre approves construction of Rani Chennamma Flyover at ₹ 298 Crores

The Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pralhad Joshi announced that the Central Government has approved the construction of an Elevated Corridor/Flyover at Rani Chennamma Circle, Hubballi at ₹ 298 Crores.

Elevated corridor of 3.6km Carriageway along with all Safety Provisions like Crash barriers, Lighting, Sign Boards, Markings will be implemented to ease traffic congestion at the Traffic Island of Hubballi City.

As per the plan, the Flyover will be Oval shaped structure covering the entire circle. From there a 4 lane road would connect Lamington Road to Ambedkar Circle.

From the flyover, a Two-lane road would proceed towards Hosur Circle till Clarks Inn and a similar road would connect Vijayapura Road to Desai Cross.

Earlier the plan to include Old Hubballi Road (Karwar Road) in the Flyover plan was dropped. But Dharwad MP Pralhad Joshi has given instructions to officials not to exclude any portion of the original plan. The flyover will be extended till Gabbur on Bengaluru road.
